Yas Kato: Owner, Earth Sculptors Inc.
Yas Kato studied traditional Japanese gardening and landscaping techniques in Kyoto and Mie Prefecture, and was deeply involved in the maintenance of gardens at one of Kyoto’s ancient World Heritage Sites. Since coming to Canada in 2002, his skills and knowledge continue to evolve, as Yas immerses himself in an innovative combination of Western and Japanese landscaping techniques.

Earth Sculptors Inc. is a landscape design and construction company, established in 2008 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Our mission is to design high quality gardens and landscapes that serve as harmonious enhancements to our clients’ homes, neighbourhoods, and lifestyles. We welcome input from our clients, and blend their ideas with our own, creating a unique fusion of Japanese and Western concepts that will surpass all expectations.
